As a part of the big Swedish skate punk wave in the mid nineties, Adhesive was one of the few bands who kept it interesting for their followers by not repeating itself with every new record. Their “We got the beat” is still one of my favorite records of that era. Three former Adhesive members picked up their instruments again and with the opening track “Time for the big guns, baby” they make sure that nobody would dare to say they've settled and slowed down during their hiatus. Powerful hardcore punk with a powerful political message that reminds me of Propagandhi and local favorites Smash The Statues. The band perfectly channels catchy hooks, lyrical sincerity and a genuine punk rock attitude into this 8-track MCD with seven real winners and one filler ('Above us all'). Not bad for a first effort. Not bad at all!
