THE INDECISION ALARM

Das Erste, was ich dachte, als diese CD-EP in den Player schmiss war: ADHESIVE! Diese kurzen, melodischen Smasher, ein Hauch schrammelig, ohne jeden Schnörkel. Und der Gesang, der mich sofort an die Band aus Schweden erinnerte. ADHESIVE waren Mitte der 90er bis 2000/2001 am Start, mit dem, wie ich finde, Hammeralbum "From Left To Right" und dem Nachfolger "We Got The Beat". Wie viele gutklassige Bands, denen der typische Melodic-Punk-Faktor fehlt, definitv im Underground verwurzelt, waren ADHESIVE immer so etwas wie ein "Geheimtip". Ob THE INDECISION ALARM diesen Status verändern können (und wollen), bleibt abzuwarten, für mich gehen die acht Songs auf dieser Platte allerdings runter wie Butter. Naja, wie es sich gehört, und damit spanne ich wieder den Bogen zum Anfang des Reviews, habe ich gerade die Website des Quartetts gecheckt, und - hüstel - TIA bestehen teilweise aus Mitgliedern von ADHESIVE. Na also! Da macht sich doch das jahrelange Gebolze aus meinen Boxen bezahlt, da macht mir keine schwedische Truppe mehr was vor, natürlich nicht - wenn nur diese immer mal wieder auftretenden Namensfindungsschwierigkeiten nicht wären (klingt wie, klingt wie... Mist!) -, aber sei's drum. Das hier ist gutes Zeug, welches zum Beispiel Freunde von LEATHERFACE oder PROPAGANDHI absolut überzeugen wird, weil Punkrock mit Hirn und Humor. The first thing that I thought as I chucked the EP in the player was:
ADHESIVE! This short, melodic smasher, a little scratchy without any embellishment.. And the vocals, which reminded immediately of the band from Sweden. ADHESIVE was around from the mid-1990s to 2000/2001, with, in my opinion, brilliant albums "From Left to Right" and the follow-up "We Got the Beat". Like many decent bands that lack the typical melodic punk factor, rooted firmly in the Underground, ADHESIVE was always a sort of 'secret tip'. Whether THE INDECISION ALARM can change this status (or wants to) remains to be seen; for me the eight songs on this album in any case go down smoothly. Just as it sounds, I jump back to the beginning of the review, I had a look at the website of the quartet, and - cough - TIA is compromised partially of ADHESIVE members. Well, then! That means that the year-long thrashing coming from my speakers was worth it, that no Swedish troupe can expect anything more from me, naturally not - even if it wasn't for this perpetual difficulty in finding a name (sounds like, sounds like... shit!) - but that's beside the point. This is good stuff here, that would convert fans of LEATHERFACE or PROPAGANDHI, because it's punk rock with brains and a sense of humour. /(Zahni Müller)/
