"The New Wind and the Second Wave" - CD
Incredibile. E' piacevole. E' figo. Come i gia' recensiti Rentokill, sempre sotto NoReason Records.
It’s incredibile. My stereo has returned to do tupa tupa as once time ago. Well, not at all. Like when it met “666 Motor Inn”. But not at all. I has aspected very much from this split between Enemy Alliance and The Indecision Alarm, most of all because there’s the name os Satanic Surfers, one of the best melodic hc bands ever (you just know, right?) I has been satisfied in part: there’s a lot of technic in both of bands, most of all for Enemy Alliance. Clean sound, the drum is the owner (and it’s normal when the drum player is called Rodrigo Alfaro), fast and powerfull, with a lot of time changes and supersonic snares thrilling putted in different places. Always peaking about these Enemy Alliance post satanic surfers, the Daniel’s guitar is recognizeble immediatly, and it’s a great pleasure for the ears and for the heart. It’s not usefull to describe it; if you know the melodic hc of the swedish, you just know what I’m speaking about. I thought they were more hardcore, more strong, concerning of what I’ve read, but I think that the genre is always melodic, danceble, according to the voice of Flygare (ex Venerea), that is more down, more grown up than the beautifull and asshole’s voice of Rodrigo for the best songs of Satanic, 666 Motor inn at the top. Speaking about The Indecision Alarm, I’ve to admitt that I’ve never listen the Adhesive, even them from Sweden, that rappresents ¾ of this new team. And maybe it’s better, so I can’t speak always about what great they were in the past. Good drums, more trash than EA’s one, down voice, with particular sound, more chorus and guitar riffs more original, less powerfull, that try to get out from the clichè of the genre. They’re more melodic and slower than their mates, even if the two bands are similar. I haven’t had time to well read the lyrics, but I promise to do it. Anyway, the vocal melodies of both of bands is clear and comprehensive, like everybody who’s not borned speaking english, and I think it’s better, so everybody could understand what they sing. The sound quality is great, every instrument is clear and perfectly separated from the other. I can’t say what are my favourite songs, for both of bands. Maybe this is the problem. The cd maybe has not too personality. It’s nice. It’s cool. But it seems to be just heard. And it’s normal, but it’s not simple to love it. Not at all. I can hope to find some lyrics to love, because my ignorance has not permitted now. But we can say that’s melodic hc. It’s what I’ve considered dead, substituted by a general chaos according to the shit of emo-core, with stupid hair-cuts and stars. Saying I’m happy to listen again this genre wouldn’t be express really what I feel. Finally. Now that someone has come back from the tomb, I hope that others will do the same and someone finally who will be able to come out. Like Rentokill, another band I’ve just done the rewiew, even under NoReason Records. In conclusion, the cd will be out the next week, Sept. 24th 2007. Think about it. It’s surely a good album. Did I say that’s Melodic Hc? So, do you need to know other? In the meantime, you can listen and download a pair of songs on the e-card of The New Wind and the second wave and even on the album myspace. Well, we hope to listen something similar or better soon. I need it for sure!
