THE INDECISION ALARM

The New Wind And The Second Wave è lo split tra Enemy Alliance e The Indecision Alarm; la prima band è formata da Rodrigo e Fredrik dei Satanic Surfers e da due Venerea: Dana e Flygare, mentre i secondi sono tre quarti degli Adhesive, altra straordinaria, ma più sconosciuta band svedese anni '90.
L'album è prodotto da 7 labels europee tra cui la giovane italiana No Reason Records.
L'hc melodico sembra risvegliarsi con questo split, dopo i recenti scioglimenti di Satanic Surfers (appunto), Belvedere e Much The Same (che però non mi entusiasmavano).
Le prime sei canzoni sono degli Enemy Alliance, in cui Rodrigo torna a suonare la batteria, e aprono con il pezzo che ritengo il migliore: Apparatus Of Repression.
Tutti e sei i pezzi si susseguono velocemente e prepotentemente uno dopo l'altro senza dare il tempo di rendersene conto, sia per la durata dei pezzi di una media di 2 minuti e qualche secondo, così come l'hc melodico vuole, sia per la piacevolezza di essi che volano via senza stancare.
I ritornelli sono uno dei pezzi forti delle canzoni, tutti molto piacevoli, e i testi trattano temi politici e sociali e, come in Vultures, dell'industria musicale.
Le canzoni successive appartengono agli Indecision Alarm, che al contrario dei loro compaesani non presentano qui il loro debutto visto che rilasciarono un EP lo scorso novembre.
Più melodici rispetto agli EA, riescono a piacermi di più sia di riff che di voce, il loro pezzo che mi rimane maggiormente impresso risulta Where Every Fucking Dream Is Killed, e anche qui i testi toccano temi sociali.
Apprezzamento anche per l'artwork della copertina e per l'interno del booklet coi testi scritti come se fossero su delle locandine di film horror vecchia scuola.
Un gran buon ritorno per l'hc melodico che da molto tempo risultava abbastanza spento.

Melodic hc seems to awaken with this split,after the recent dissolution of Satanic Surfers Belvedere e Much The Same
The first six songs are Enemy Alliance's ones, in wich Rodrigo gets back playing drums, the cd open with the song I consider the best: Apparatus Of Repression.
All the six tracks come one after the other quickly and strongly withount giving to time to become aware of it(OR come to realize) The reasons are both the lenght of songs of about 2minutes and some second on the average,as melodic hc wants, and also the pleasantness of them,wich fly away without tiring.
The choruses are the best part of the songs,all pleasant,and the lyrics deal with political and social themes and,as in Vultures,lyrics about music industry.
The following songs belong to the Indecision alarm,wich,on the contrary of their countrymen don't show here their debut,they released an ep last november.
More melodic than EA,I like them more than EA both for riff and voice,the track that impresses me more is Where Every Fucking Dream Is Killed, and also in it the lyrics deal with social themes.
Appreciation for the artwork of the booklet too,with the lyrics written as they'd be over some horror old school film.
A great comeback to melodic hc,that for a long time has resulted quite extinguished.
